200-hour TEACHER TRAINING

Inner Peace Yoga Center, a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School, is taking registrations for its 2012 Teacher's Certification Training, and looking for ideal teacher trainees. The program will beginning the February 23, 2012. It will include both a certification track for those who wish to teach and a non-certification track for those who wish to study yoga in-depth, but don’t necessarily want to teach. No hype just pure yoga grounded in the Himalayan tradition.

In our training and in keeping with the Yoga Alliance requirements you will:

  •  Learn to be a highly competent teacher instructing people in:

                Postures - perfecting your own and teaching others

                        Learn to teach systematically and safely

                        Learn how to teach yoga as fitness, as therapy, and as transformation

  •  Learn effective breathing practices, cleansing practices & relaxation      


  •  Hone your skills as a yoga teacher by understanding:

                Anatomy for yoga, yoga philosophy and psychology,

               Ayurveda (yoga's sister science) / Diet and Nutrition

                            and much, much more

The majority of the training will be done by Inner Peace Yoga Center directors Charles and Carol Crenshaw. They have 60+ years of experience between them practicing and teaching yoga, alternative health and meditation. They lived in India; they have studied with yogis, swamis, pandits, philosophers, psychologists, M.D.'s, and energy healers.  Both  hold masters degrees in Eastern Studies/Comparative Psychology and are E-RYT 500+ Yoga Alliance certified instructors, having personally trained thousands of people. They have been training teachers since 1987 as center directors in New York City, at the Himalayan Institute's national headquarters, and here in Indy.

Dave Graf, C.M.T. and master integrative body worker

Jaime Stover-Schmitt, Ed.D., author of Every Woman’s Yoga

The cost of the entire program is $2500 ($2300 if paid in full by registration date). Space is limited, so we suggest applying as soon as possible.  The cost for the non-certification track is $2000. Payment plans available.
